I have been so busy lately. Feels like I'm going in circles. Just as I think I am getting caught up and I can see the new task in front of me, I realize it's only my rear I'm seeing as I draaaaag... it along behind me.
So, I'm gonna try and get caught up here in my posting. Here's my latest Senior Session, Trei. This was taken with his dad's Muscle Car he restored. It's a 1969 Chevy Camaro. Electric blue with silver stripes on the trunk and hood. This car is amazing. I tried to talk dad into letting him do a burnout in a nearby parking lot, but......it didn't happen. Can't say I blame him. I was afraid to touch it.... (although I enjoyed it when I did) ;]
He's into sports and when I went to the last football game, he was almost always on the bottom of the pileup. He was catching and tackling all night...I found myself yelling, "GO TREI!!"
I took some of he and his girl, Jordan. Oh, they reminded me of me and my hubby in highschool. So here are a few of them together.
aren't they just the sweetest? I just love how she grabbed his face for this kiss.
and here are a few more of the details of the car. I took a few for Dad....
I also have been doing quite a few maternity sessions lately. I love doing maternity and newborn sessions. It gives me a baby fix.....and what mother doesn't want a baby fix, right?
Here are my favorites from the latest maternity sessions. First, it's Jasmyne and her little blondie girl, Aliya.
When I got there she was getting her nails painted this beautiful shade of red.
She looked gorgeous in this green.
We took a few outside in the backyard.
and she was an absolute doll.
and let me tell you....I've NEVER seen an ultrasound like this little boy before. Look closely, all you moms who know how to read an ultrasound, I'm sure you can already tell what he's doing... He is heels over head here. His butt straight up in the air and his knees are touching his nose!!!! Is this not the most INCREDIBLE thing??? (you can click on the actual picture to view it larger)
Now I know you've seen this couple on my blogs alot lately. It's Lauren and Erick. I did their engagement, wedding, maternity and I just did their newborn a few days ago. Here are my favorites from their maternity session. I also updated their wedding photos from a few posts earlier
Guess how much I love you.
This one is my FAVORITE belly shot from the entire session. Love the hair on her shoulder and the light on her belly is perfect. You can even see the shape of some body parts sticking out a little if you follow the line of her stomach. It's a little bit wavy there at the bottom.
....and with Mr. Elephant. Uh-hum... (he's a destined republican, says his daddy)
I absolutely love the roundness of her tummy.
One of my favorites, I love the gentle kiss on her shoulder...
So stay tuned for these newborn sessions to arrive. Not too much longer and I can show off those new little boys....keep watching, blog stalkers.
In July, my husband and I took our daughters to Florida on vacation. We were able to spend the majority of our 3 weeks with my sister Stacey and her beautiful family. One which I had never met before. She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl a month earlier. Her name is Lila Kate.
I was so happy when Stacey (who is also a photographer, as you already know) told me to "Do whatever" with Lila. YAY..........Free Reign!! There's nothing better than that. Here are a few images of My dear, Sweet Little Lila. I just couldn't get enough of her...and her yumminess. I miss you like crazy babydoll. (wink, wink)
One of my favorites of the new family of four. Parker just looks so content with his new sister. This is what perfect looks like. I love you guys and miss you like crazy!!!!
What are little girls made of?
What are little girls made of? made of?
What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice, and everything nice,
That's what little girls are made of.
Just a quick post to share some images from the latest family session. There are three sisters and they were so much fun.
They had a tea party...
...the proper way, "Pinky out".
They jumped...
We played...
and here is beautiful big sister....
Aren't they just the cutest???
Thank you girls and mama for sharing your day with me.
So as you can see I haven't posted a blog in sometime. My 3 girls just got out of school for the summer and it's been too hard for me to keep them cooped up in the house. We have such a wonderful breeze atop this "Kentucky mountain".
Aside from the "black bear" my father-in-law spotted while hunting, that frightens me a little and the newest threat, 2 "mountain lions" that have been spotted in the neighbors field. Our property line is separated with only a tiny fence. Mama is gonna be "PACKIN' the heat" on her hip-ster jeans and sparkly belt. Now all I need to work on is my aim! So yes, this does frighten me. Mostly because I've been letting the older girls go out to their playhouse without me all summer, then I find this out. I am thanking the good lord above for keeping them from becoming dinner to the creatures we have roaming our mountain.
I've done so much since the last entry and if I even tried to add them all, you'd be here till lunch. Ya know what, just go grab a biscuit, slap some jelly on it and meet me back here....it's gonna be a long one today!
I left off with Erick and Lauren. I blogged about them on June 1st. Here are my favorites from their engagement and wedding.
I think that one was one of their favorites. Needless to say, I was standing barefoot on the railing of a bridge for this shot. It made me feel like a gymnast, although my landing was far from a perfect 10!
Her smile here says it all for me. They have definitely been bitten by the Love Bug.
I just LOVE the sunflare here.
....and this is actually the exact way he proposed to her. They went out to dinner with their families and friends. They brought out the fortune cookies for everyone (that he'd had especially made with "Lauren, will you marry me?" on the inside of them). He bought this faux-diamond studded fortune cookie to present her the ring and was down on one knee with this ....whopping diamond that he had chosen especially for her. What a sweet moment for the two of them...and wonderful planning from Erick.
Here is some from their wedding day.
And here is Lauren waiting to go outside for the wedding.
Erick helped carry her train....
This is their favorite wedding photo. He said it looks like a magazine ad. I agree....
and the musican.
....and the cake.
the details of her dress
the new Mrs.
and THIS is my FAVORITE one of them together. I love the almost kiss.
Next, I had a session with this teeny, 9 day old angel. Her name is Lilly Brynne and a month earlier, I did her parents maternity session. The proud parents, Aaron and Tera, are just beaming with delight at their first born. She is absolutely gorgeous.....and the first grandchild on both sides of the family, so this little girl will be spoiled all the way around. lol....
and look at all those wrinkles and baby fuzz. It just melts my heart.......
and her parents are smitten by her existence...
We wrapped her up with mama and she was soooo comfy she drifted off to sleep.
Yes, she folded up just like a little taco and rested her chin on her toes.
Lilly is perfectly content with her adoring mama and dada. How blessed she is to have them.
Heaven smiled down on them the day she was born. Savour every moment.....with little Lilly Brynne.
This is the Nischan Family. I recently met them while doing some photos for their family. Because of meeting this family, I feel like my life has changed. For those of you that know them, I'm sure you feel the same way.
Our session started off at their home...
They climbed a tree..
...and I climbed the same tree.
Then we went to a friend's farm not far from there.
This family was totally a hoot!
I mean a riot! I even found the stars of Green Acres...
And lets just say that turtles are slower than tires... A boy, (who will remain anonymous) ran over a turtle with the car. It was a complete accident. I will not go into the details, I'll let them tell you the story. But don't even ask, I will NOT tell you who did it....{wink)
...to lollipops.
And I know that you may have seen some of these before on Tammy's blog, but I had to add them myself. Here are a few of my favorites of them all. Trying to get 7 people to jump simultaneously is almost impossible. This was my favorite jump photo. If you look at it very close, I guarantee you will not stop laughing.
...and finally one at the barn.
Tim, Tammy, Erich, Evan, Todd, Nick,Olivia and Grandma. I had such a fun time with you all. I'll see you soon. :)
So I just wanted to let you all know that my WEBSITE is now L.I.V.E. ......live! I have worked terribly hard on it and now you can log on and see it for yourself.
www.amyparsonsphotography.com Pass the word....and go check it out. I hope you enjoy it!!
Yesterday, the kids were watching TV to stay out of the heat. It was 95 degrees and very humid. After arguing over the remote, they came upon a show that was one of my favorites when I was a girl. I was enthused when the remote stopped changing and a hush of silence came into the room. It was "Full House" with Mary Kate and Ashley as the babies...they think it's crazy that Mary Kate and Ashley were babies on the show (probably because they can only see one at a time...lol) It was the episode where Danny had to do the 10pm news, Joey had a comedy gig at the local comedy barn and Jesse was supposed to practice rockin' with his band. (He was even hot with long hair..{drool}..)Apparently they all 3 couldn't leave the kids home in the bed, so poor Uncle Jesse was conned into staying home. DJ and Stephanie snuck down the staircase for a tub of icecream and told Uncle Jesse they would go straight to bed after a bowl. It made them Hyper and Wild and sleeping was the last thing on their minds. (Here comes the good part) Uncle Jesse invited his band to come over to the house, where they played drums with licorice, quietly strummed the guitars and whispered the words. Until DJ and Stephanie came down the stairs wearing their ***80's Wardrobe*** which was totally cool in 1988! They had the dangle earrings bangle bracelets and long necklaces, the footless leggings and long shirts. I couldn't help but smile extremely large when I saw their get-up. It took me back to being 9 and wearing the same things....{sigh}. The girl band member was decked out in a short studded miniskirt and black leggings, an off one shoulder t-shirt and she had PURPLE in her hair. (which delighted me because I have RED chunks in mine).
I caught the girls attention.
(I said) "Look! Do you see what they are wearing?....." I was trying to let them know that the styles are changing and that I am COOL.. but before I could get out another word,
(Holli said) "Mom, is that Old-Fashioned?"
So this week, actually on Tuesday, I turned another year older. (Don't even think I'm gonna tell you how old I am...) I was up late on Monday night (editting as usual when the kiddos are snoozing) and I have decided....IT'S OFFICIAL.....It's been marked on the calendar and added to the record books.... I am not having any more birthdays. I must admit that growing older is for the birds. Don't get me wrong now, I wouldn't change a thing in my life. If I was given a do-over, I'd gladly pass. However, I feel that age is catching up with me and I see a few things wrong with my "bod" that I didn't have a problem with 3 years ago. It must have something to do with growing, giving birth to and breastfeeding 3 children in 6 years. Hummm...yes, that's definitely it!!! My hubby seems to think that older women are "hot" and he can't wait till I turn 40. Oh, Heavens to Betsy, I dread the day. Being a mom has been the hardest, most challenging and yet most rewarding thing I have EVER done. I was blessed to spend time in my day with my family, whether it be in person or on the phone. I love them deeply.
Yes, we had a litttle party. (someone needs to give the person who wrote my NAME on my cake a lesson in handwriting...btw) My cake read, "Happy Birthday 21 Any". Hey stop laughing...you know I am really 21, right? Seriously now....AMY is not a hard word to spell !!! How bad is it that on MY day MY cake made no sense!!! My girls ended up taking a toothpick and making an extra hump on the n.
After we had cake, we all went into the LR for an XBOX "Rockband" Showdown!!! Our girls totally skunked their grandparents. They were rockin' the house!!! Grace wore the headset microphone and played the guitar at the same time. We got a kick watching her bend at the knee and bounce a little while she jammed on the guitar....and the high notes were outstanding!! Holli rocked the drums with ease. She was working those drumsticks, both at the same time and thumping that basedrum footpetal like it was nothing. Watching them "Get their Groove On" totally made my day. Over to the side Charley and Lanie, my neice, were dancing jumping. It was a wonderful ending to our hectic day......
I just wanted the announce my latest engagement session. This is Lauren and Erick....
They are getting married in 13 days!! This was my first time meeting Lauren (although we have talked by email and phone quite often). Erick is an old friend from my early high school days although I hadn't seen him in 13 years. We had tons of fun at our session at Central Park and I can't wait for their upcoming wedding.
I once saw this quote that seems to describe how LOVE affects us...
"I can't begin to imagine the me I would be without you."
Best wishes to you both.....
