...Waiting for Jaylee

So my first session this year was for my friend, Tabitha and her husband, Josh.  For those of you that have followed my work, I also did their wedding last year.

So now they are expecting their FIRST BABY!!!  It's a GIRL, and her name is going to be Jaylee.  Tabitha isn't due for another 3 weeks and seems to be doing great.  No signs of labor yet.  So I wanted to share MY favorites from the session and show you all how she GLOWS....you are glowing, my dear.

Watts Wedding

On December 17, 2007 I was honored to be the photographer at my uncles wedding.  Congrats, Mike and Michelle WATTS!!  Michelle, we are so blessed to have you be a part of our crazy family.  With the immediate family now totaling 44 (I think I got that right, you ALL know we have to stop and count).  From what I hear you also have a big family, which explains why you fit in beautifully.  They got married before Christmas and I am working on the finals for their album right now.  NOT MUCH LONGER GUYS, then it's on to your SLIDESHOW.....  I can't wait for you to see the finished product.  I think I am as excited as you are!

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas (1 week late)

Tuesday night I went to bed dreading the approaching morning.  It was the first day back to school in 2008.  Although my girls were looking forward to seeing their friends, I was wishing for another morning I didn't have to get the baby out of bed and out in the weather at 7:30 am.  Don't you just hate cold mornings?  The having to start the car early.....scrape the windows, bundling up, getting out of your pajamas before lunch kind of dread.  However, I went on to bed, way past the reasonable hour, in preparation of life as I knew it to begin again. Needless to say, I was enthused to see the porch covered in snow when I woke up the following morning.

There was "No School" on Wednesday, "No School" on Thursday, and they have already announced that there will be "No School" again tomorrow.  Shall I say, "YAW-HOOOOO......."

Today I walked outside to take some shots of the snow on the ground.  It isn't alot, but SNOW nonetheless.

Now don't that just make ya wanna have a Hot, Steamy cup of Hot Cocoa?  Well, that's just what I did.

Baby Sterling

This past fall I was priviledged to photograph a friend of mine, Shanna, and her husband, Mark.  They were anxiously awaiting the arrival of their first child.  Here are a few of my favorite images from her pregnancy session.

Two weeks ago, I was able to see this little boy that was growing inside of her, as it was HIS turn to be in my spotlight.  At the time of our shoot he was only 11 days old.  I believe he weighed over 6 pounds and he was just the most darling little thing!!!  Here are a few of my favorite images of STERLING!!  You can view their album to see the rest of their images.

This image is one of my favorites.

One of the family, now three of them, enjoying a warm embrace.

Happy New Year!

I just wanted to wish you a Happy New Year. May you have a safe, happy and joyous year to come.    Be nice to strangers, don't forget old friends, smile more, complain less, spend more time with loved ones, forgive those you have a problem with, forget the past, look forward for NEW things are in place, have a party, enjoy the you you are, do something daring and spontaneous. Wake up every morning ready to face what is thrown your way.  Enjoy a rainbow, the sun, the moon, a rainshower, a flower, a bug.  Wish on a falling star.  Sing more in the shower, louder and more obnoxious.  Dance more, play more, BE more.  You are the only YOU you have.  Learn another language, take a trip, buy a new dog.  Loose weight, get healthy so you can be here to enjoy your great-grandchildren.  Kiss those you love more, hug them and tell them what they mean to you.  Spend more time with your family.  Enjoy your children before they grow up and have their own families.  Love the little things that make you who you are. Embrace life and don't wait till tomorrow.  And always remember.......Be ALIVE, you aren't dead yet!
